Technology (IT) companies who focus on utilities.
IMS Consulting has undertaken a number of varied
projects in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong and
South Korea. These projects have ranged from business consulting
and project management to IT consulting
Integrated Management Services (IMS) is a utility
specific consulting company that has been in operation for
15 years and has undertaken a number of consulting engagements
over that time related to the operations, management and marketing
of utilities in Australia and Asia.
IMS has organised itself to ensure high flexibility
of personnel, providing a high level of customer service.
It has achieved this by linking to consultants and services
providers and bringing a team together to meet the needs of
specific projects. Thereby avoiding high cost overheads and
choosing people who are truly experts in their field to contribute
to successful project outcomes.
Upon formation, IMS was involved with the conversion
of the Melbourne and Metropolitan Board of Works (MMBW) meter
reading from in-house meter reading to contract meter readers
and providing strategic advice to MITS, then a new Melbourne
IT company that was to grow to become the third largest IT
systems integrator in Australia. IMS provided MITS with advice
and support across a wide range of issues pertinent to its
growth in the multi-utility market. Since that time IMS has
provided consulting support and project management to a wide
range of utilities and service/product providers including
ACTEW, Energex, Energy Australia, VENCorp, Smallworld, Digital
Equipment Corp, Itron Australasia and many others.
